A great start to Fun Girl's Night Out, no doubt, but the night didn't start then. At 3 pm, the Oakdale Theatre opened for the launch of the Greater New Haven Chamber's Women's Business Council. Three of Connecticut's top women executives: Anne Worcester from Pilot Pen Tennis and Market New Haven, Peyton R. Patterson from NewAlliance Bank, and Marna Borgstrom from Yale New Haven Hospital, came to speak about their career and life experiences. Over 150 women filled the Oakdale Theatre to listen to their inspiring stories.
Sponsors for the night included the Executive Auto Group, which was the first stop for many women, as they posed for pictures in the 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Foster Adoptive Mission, an adoption agency based in Connecticut, had great success spreading awareness and finding prospective foster parents. (For more information about FAM, click here.) Women watched in awe as students from the Branford Academy strolled throughout the event with their extravagant artwork displayed on their heads!
